Similar to HIIT (high-intensity interval training), Yoga Tabata is a high-energy, calorie-burning yoga class. In Yoga Tabata, there is a brief warm-up and then students are timed as they go through various yoga poses/moves which target specific parts of the body, 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off for eight reps each. The class ends with a cool-down/restorative sequence. In this class, you are constantly moving and having fun. If you want to challenge yourself, hear some great music, and get a serious workout, this class is for you.

Jess, PhD, the owner and lead instructor for Authentic Yoga Studio, is a RYT 200 certified Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance. She is also a certified Kidding Around Yoga teacher and co-owner of North Georgia Mindfulness Project. She was been teaching yoga for two years and has been practicing for six; she loves helping people reach beyond what they think they are capable of, both physically and mentally. Jess incorporates Mindfulness and meditation into her classes.
