Each week we will begin with a check in and introduce a topic or intention. At 10 minutes into class, we will start the yoga asana (poses). This is an accessible yoga class which moves gently including some moments for strength building and deep stretching. The practice will raise your heart rate, there will be opportunity to explore challenging asana as well as opportunity to embrace ease and embodiment.

Nicole teaches a well rounded, gentle and relaxing all-levels class that will raise your heart rate with traditional sun salutations, then work deeply into the connective tissue around the hips pelvis and spine with a slow and enjoyable Yin Yoga influenced practice. In the asana practice she encourages folks to move their bodies is an expressive way, one that is akin to "The process not the product" ideas of making art but translated the experience of being embodied. This class promotes deep breathing, mindfulness and inward listening. Suitable for beginners and experienced students alike who are seeking a fun and grounding class that focuses on restoring flexibility and mobility. Most recently Nicole has been studying the ideas of trauma sensitive yoga and has been working to create through her words, in-class options, and presentation a more trauma sensitive and body positive class.
